Her latest work focuses on an internal AstraZeneca Zoom meeting from late 2020. In it, Mark Esser, Vice President of Monoclonal Antibodies, casually describes—while they pat each other on the back—how DARPA, the research agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, called AstraZeneca on February 4, 2020. The Pentagon as a screenwriter
What was this consortium? DARPA had been approaching pharmaceutical companies since around 2012, but by 2017 at the latest, they had specifically approached AstraZeneca.
