Suddenly, they're buzzing everywhere in the sky—drones, these new winged omens of fear. As soon as they arrive, the media's brass band sounds a panic fanfare: "Threat! Security! Defence!" Politicians wave their hands worriedly at the cameras and seriously demand an "Iron Dome" for Germany. Yes, you read that right: a missile defense system for a country that is neither attacked nor threatened—unless you count the everyday madness.

What's happening here has the subtle charm of déjà vu. The script is familiar: diffuse danger, hysterical headlines, political hyperactivity. First came the virus, now the drone. The same routine again: selling fear, expanding control, morally denigrating criticism. Anyone who asks whether all this has any substance is considered naive, lacking in solidarity—or even a drone fan with a Russia connection.

The Iron Dome is being sold as a security project, but in reality it's a multi-billion-dollar theater set. A missile defense system for the soul – to counteract the guilty conscience of politicians who would rather buy steel than show common sense. And who pays for this spectacle? The honest taxpayer, of course, who has already learned to finance their fear in installments.

It is the tried and tested drama in three acts:
Act 1 – The threat: The media howls, talk shows froth, experts with titles and three-day beards explain why the situation is “serious.”
Act 2 – The Savior: Politicians act like superheroes in tailored suits, with meaningful wrinkles on their foreheads and a blank expression, and demand “more security.”
Act 3 – The Sacrifice: The audience dutifully claps, pays the bill, and calls the whole thing democracy.

Criticism? Naturally, it's considered dangerous. Anyone who questions the script is either insensitive, right-wing, or—the new classic—"misinformed." And while we debate threat scenarios, no one ever thinks that perhaps the real risk lies in believing everything that scares us.

So the Iron Dome will come – as a monument to paranoia, a concrete metaphor for German self-hypnosis. It protects not from drones, but from insight.

And if something does happen to fly, don't worry. At least we'll have blown up a few billion to feel safer.

Or, to put it with gallows humor: The Germans have finally learned to industrialize their fear. Made in Germany – guaranteed fear-free, but never senseless. Or the other way around...

Germany is arming itself – against drones, reason and reality

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. However, you are welcome to simply copy and distribute the content, my blog has always been under the WTFPL license.

It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
