Ah, rebellion. The eternal promise of freedom—only this time with a hashtag. Every click a punch, every meme a Molotov cocktail against the system. Too bad the system provides the platform, hosts the server, and programs the algorithm that decides who's even allowed to rebel. Welcome to the comfort zone of the controlled.
The plan, as simple as it is ingenious: First, freedom is put on a diet – a little less opinion here, a little more regulation there. Then, a few "high-impact events" are thrown on top: pandemic, war, climate change, something involving fear – the main thing is that people get the emotional rush of panic and outrage.
And when things get heated? Then let it all out – but please, keep the rebellion controlled! On designated streets, with approved banners, accompanied by livestreaming and sponsorship. The revolution is presented by: Your favorite corporation.
Because the true art lies not in preventing rebellion, but in possessing it. That's the trick: People believe they are fighting against the system, while they are merely going through the tutorial programmed precisely for that purpose. Rebellion as content. Outrage as a business model.
Then comes the decisive moment – the point at which they must be broken. Not when they sleep, but when they are burning. Because broken rebels make the best subjects. They know that resistance is futile and from then on console themselves with Netflix, nonsense, and nicotine. The final battle is against their own self-esteem.
Then comes Phase Two: Dehumanization. The person functions, but they no longer live. They scroll, click, comment – obediently, busy, predictably. And they believe the rebellion was their own idea. Perfect: A self-motivated slave with a moral framework.
The alternative? Not the opposite, but the opposite of the opposite. A rebellion born not of anger, but of awareness. Not a slogan, not a protest march, not a Twitter trend – but the unfashionable, almost forgotten question: Who am I really – and whom am I truly serving right now?
The real revolution doesn't happen in parliament, nor on the streets or in our feeds. It begins where humanity rejects the script written for it. Where it stops treating itself like a pawn.
Inner health – that's what they fear. Because a person who belongs to themselves can no longer be programmed.
Freedom begins where manipulation ends. Have a nice day, digital rebels…

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.
