The Espadaysantacruz Studios introduce us to “1stAI Machine”, the first physical video editing device generated by AI. This tool can be used to select a range of storyboard images. From these images, the AI first generates a black and white animation and then a final video with the style and music pre-selected by the user.
In this first version, the machine is designed to create an entertaining experience by mixing storyboards from classic films such as Titanic, Star Wars, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction and others. It offers a range of predefined styles including Nordic Noir, Futuristic, Childlike, Low Poly and more. The end result is a 30-second original and surprising film.
GEN-AIs are now capable of creating hyper-realistic photos that are almost indistinguishable from reality. However, the videos are still in their early stages and are far from perfect. Currently, the videos generated may contain errors and inconsistencies. However, given the rapid progress that GEN-AIs have made in the last few months, we expect that the quality of videos will soon match that of photos. Then everyone will be able to create films without the need for a camera, lights or actors; he will simply interact with the AIs. A tool like 1stAI Machine anticipates this moment by exploring tangible interfaces that encourage creativity.
The prototype was developed in collaboration with 1stAveMachine and SpecialGuestX, an agency specializing in creating stories using artificial intelligence, data and automation. SpecialGuestX believes that as the creative possibilities of AI become larger and more complex, it will become increasingly important to create physical interfaces to control artificial intelligence processes. The development of effective tools will allow us to improve the processes of human-machine collaboration.
