The German government seems to have wondered how best to reach out to young people. With humor, of course, a video campaign was needed that praises “being lazy” and compares couch potatoes with heroes.
In the #SpecialHelden video clip, an elderly man looks back on the Corona winter of 2020. With this new information campaign, the German federal government wants to make the current measures palatable to young people. The central message is clear: anyone who fights “lazy as a raccoon” at home armed with chips on the Netflix front is a corona hero. "Become a hero too and stay at home".
"Disrespectful and disrespectful towards the people who give more than 100 percent in the home office and home schooling and for everyone who is at the end of their strength in action for others," comments one of the videos that government spokesman Steffen Seibert has published. Another addresses the hero issue: «I understand the intention. I am extremely irritated by the war rhetoric. And minimally amused." But look at the embarrassing perseverance propaganda for yourself...
