Ronald Jenkees is a funny bird who had quite a YouTube hype years ago and apparently achieved a certain fame as a result. The boy was completely unknown to me until now and I am probably the last blogger on the internet who stumbled upon the gifted hobby keyboardist and producer. In his spare time, he makes good pieces of music that many professional artists could learn from.
His music reminds me a little of a mix-up of 8-bit game sound and 80s synthi pop, mixed with Jan Hammer's Miami Vice compositions. I like the whole thing terrifyingly and I am curious how long it will take for the media to discover Ronald Jenkees for themselves. Oh yes, maybe a few words beforehand: He's definitely not pretending, he's completely authentic and that's what makes him so likeable. Even if a few things work differently in his head than most other people - if the music comes out so much fun, you have to ask yourself whether the others aren't the ones who are mentally handicapped.
