The band “Wake up Frankie”, which comes from the dynamic music landscape of Helsinki, Finland, presents their debut album “Thrashrockin› Beats”. Having first made waves in the metal scene in 2019 with their notable win at the Tuska Torstai contest and a celebrated spot at the festival, the band have been a name to keep an eye on ever since. Their unique blend, described as “thrash rock,” combines the essence of 80s thrash metal, 90s rock and modern 00s metal.
After their 2020 EP “Green is the New Black” received widespread attention, “Wake up Frankie” has now teamed up with Ranka Kustannus to release “Thrashrockin› Beats”. This album is best understood as a fusion of influences from Slipknot to Guns N› Roses brought together in a modern mix. The emphasis on heavy, commanding riffs combined with a punk attitude and catchy '80s melodies makes this release a true reflection of their musical journey. Produced primarily by Rami Nykänen, with three tracks credited to Joonas Parkkonen, this 10-track album showcases the band's versatility and dedication to their craft.
