The Metal Armada got me on «Goatwhore«, in German roughly the goat whore, drew my attention and after listening to a few songs, I have to say: Excellent! According to the band from Louisiana, their sound can be classified as black/death metal, but in my opinion there is still a good pinch of thrash. To be precise, the band reminds me of Slayer, only faster but still more melodic. Ok, the lyrics are mainly about satanic themes and death, but as the following video shows, Goatwhore can be classified as thrash at its best. The latest album “A Haunting Curse” doesn’t detract from the brutality and harshness of the music and what I particularly like is the band’s subtle punk attitude. Great and holy shit, the boys let loose!
Fortunately, the men are on December 17.12th as part of the “Unholy Trinity Tour”. along with "Toxic holocaust" (UNITED STATES), "Skeleton switch» (USA) and «Timor» (CH) in the Zurich version to be encountered. I have to make a pilgrimage there to experience some really rough metal again. The last bands could be compared to school bands. As the following music clip shows, “Goatwhore” seems to be capable of more, even if it’s just good posing live

Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.
