We cannot think sick and stay healthy at the same time! Every thought creates an electrical charge. Many different physiological processes take place in the brain and in the body. In the literature, there are repeated indications that people supposedly think about 60 to 000 thoughts a day. Research into neuroplasticity has been going on for many years. But what is that?
We create our reality through our thinking and feeling. What science can prove today with modern methods, the Roman Emperor Marc Aurel said around two thousand years ago: "In the long run, the soul takes on the color of thoughts." thoughts and thinking! Thinking is a very complicated process! Negative thinking leads to negative emotions, unpleasant physical reactions, and negative behavior.
We feel how we think and ultimately we think how we feel! Sounds logical! But most don't get it! It reads that on average we should have 24% negative thoughts, 3% positive thoughts and the rest has no particular effect. That would mean that the average person has eight times more negative thoughts than positive ones. Scientists assume that the number of negative thoughts increases sharply under stress, up to 70% and more. Every thought when a certain action potential is reached triggers a biochemical reaction in the brain.
Messenger substances (neurotransmitters, neuropeptides and hormones) are released. For example, negative thoughts release adrenaline, noradrenaline, cortisol, cytokines and histamine, while positive thoughts release serotonin, oxytocin, dopamine, endorphins and vasopressin. These messenger substances lead to negative or positive emotions. Ultimately, we also perceive our thoughts on a physical level, for example as a lump in the throat, as pressure in the stomach or as tense shoulders. When we choose to think positively, be thankful, respect and
When we have appreciation for other people, we feel exactly as we think and we also feel it on the physical level, for example when our hearts warm up.
Mental training is characterized by the fact that we can decide how we think. Who is responsible for our thinking? Yes exactly, just ourselves! And because we think all day anyway, we can choose to direct our thoughts in a direction that is positive for us. Changes are possible at any time. However, positive thinking does not mean seeing everything through rose-tinted glasses and simply ignoring negative things in life. Thinking positively in life means harmonizing thinking and feeling.
That should make us “think”! Or better yet, we should be more and more «conscious of it!» every day.
