Few films exerted such a large influence on the genre as William Friedkin's Schocker from 1973, which, unlike many other classics, was spared the remake fever that is rampant today. So the news that the US broadcaster Fox has commissioned a TV series, which, like Friedkin's cult film, is based on William Peter Blatty's novel and is heralded as a modern reinterpretation of the book. The creative mind behind the project is Jeremy Slater, who recently wrote the script for the science fiction thriller The Lazarus Effect. The horror series revolves around the two priests Tomas Ortega (Alfonso Herrera) and Marcus Lang (Ben Daniels), two completely different men who have to support a family persecuted by demonic powers and face the true face of evil. Oscar winner Geena Davis appears as a concerned mother, as the first trailer that has now been released shows. In autumn 2016 it will be possible to see whether the television producers manage to create a similarly eerie atmosphere as William Friedkin. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever
