Özlem Türeci, a Turkish-German doctor, is said to have developed the first mRNA-based vaccine to treat COVID for the biotechnology company BioNTech in 2020. But even though she's been given plenty of airtime by the mainstream media, she seems to have missed a crucial question: What happened to her face?

The FDA's December 2020 briefing document on the COVID vaccination acknowledges that it has caused cases of Bell's palsy:
One of the most infamous cases of post-vaccination facial paralysis occurred in singer Justin Bieber, who announced in June 2022 that he had Ramsay Hunt syndrome (RHS).
Canadian actress Jennifer Gibson also developed Bell's palsy two weeks after receiving the Astra Zeneca vaccine.
Kogon points out that Türeci suffered from the disease before the COVID vaccines were developed, see the 2016 video clip, among others here. But in her youth she didn't seem to suffer from it. Could she have developed the disorder in the context of her laboratory work on mRNA drugs? We do not know that. But the photo below of Sahin and Türeci from the 1990s shows that Türeci had no signs of facial paralysis as a young woman. The photo comes from an exhibition at the German Museum of Technology about the development of the so-called vaccine.
One thing is for sure: If Albert Bourla had partial facial paralysis, everyone would be talking about it and social media would go crazy. But Bourla is just the CEO of a company that markets the drug. Türeci is co-developer of the drug, CMO and co-founder of the company Drug actually heard.
