It's time for another movie in the crypt. Today we have «Diary of the Dead», an apocalyptic horror film by American director George A. Romero from 2007. His fifth zombie-themed film. After "Land of the Dead" was a production of a larger film studio, this film is again produced independently and is reminiscent of "The Blair Witch Project" or "Cloverfield" because of the pseudo-documentary coating. Here's a little introduction to the plot:
While filming a film project, a group of students is caught in the middle of an undead invasion! Film student Jason, his girlfriend Debra, and a fellow film team were making a horror film for their university in the woods of Pennsylvania when the radio began to broadcast the news of the resurrected dead. Desperate and terrified, the group tries to get through to their families and friends. But Jason deals with a completely different problem: because he denounces the mendacity of the reporting, he mercilessly lets his camera run along on the run from the undead and documents the attack of the zombies in order to later make them accessible to the general public via the Internet.
