Today the time has finally come, after the release of the single «Boy» and the brilliant video for it (regardless of whether it is the censored or bloody version) it's (finally) time today - the best band in the world releases their twentieth album (depending on how they're counted). After all, four years have passed since "Geräusch", the last studio album. The new album "Jazz is different" works differently. more puristic. common. triological. homemade. Because that was the band consensus this time: die ärzte prefer to do everything themselves on this album.
After the 84 debut album «Debil», for the second time in the band's history, the guys don't have a producer and the self-timer was dug out of the box for the photo sessions. And they let it rip: "Electric guitars" and "noise" are not coincidentally keywords of the first single "Boy«. Even in the case of the doctors, a “Schalala and Schalalu” only rhymes with “Du”! But those who know the doctors will perhaps also love the way they deal with the German language again on "Jazz is different": rhymes are still carved as lovingly as the fretwork of the economic miracle generation used to be to hang Andie on the wall for eternity. Or so.
As always, on a die ärzte album you will find the little truths of life as well as the big questions – heart and pain and “Gags “R” Us” included. The new ärzte album contains 16 new songs, plus a bonus EP with three songs from die ärzte about die ärzte. Of course, in eye-catching packaging, whose outrageous "haptic presence" on your own shelf ennobles the owner. The CD version appears in a pizza box, approx. 130 x 130 x 20mm, without copy protection. The vinyl version comes with an Internet voucher that allows the buyer to download the songs in MP3 format free of charge.
