The DJI Robomaster Competition has existed for several years. Remote-controlled robots collect ammunition and shoot their way through arenas in teams of five. From this is now the RoboMaster S1 originated by DJI. And it looks like a lot of fun.
The remote-controlled robot can be adapted to your own ideas using the programming languages Scratch 3.0 and Python. The RoboMaster S1 is called a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) toy and is referred to as educational effects for kids. But honestly. What is convincing in the case of Lego Spike Prime looks more like a shooting toy for adults to me.
As usual with DJI products, it is controlled with the smartphone in a holder and app. According to initial feedback, the remote control reacts very quickly, which sounds good. In battle mode you can choose between infrared rays and small gel balls. The special wheels even allow sideways movements thanks to their skillful control, which can of course also be programmed. It is already available in the US&A and costs just under $ 500. The RoboMaster S1 cannot yet be ordered from us, but it shouldn't take too long ...
