Spider man, bat man, ant man and since February 23rd we've continued with the blue tick man! The second half of the first season of «The Tick» is now available on Amazon Prime Video. Anyone who has missed the first six episodes of the humorous heroic comedy can get a brief overview of what “The Tick” is actually about and where the new episodes will start.
In the universe of «The Tick», superheroes are as commonplace as brushing your teeth. At least since the first supernatural being came to earth in 1908 in the person of Superian. But even super villains are real, as the young man Arthur (Griffin Newman) found out in the most painful way. His father died at the hands of The Terror (Jackie Earle Haley). Although the whole world believes that the villain has now blessed his own life, Arthur cannot and does not want to believe that. During his investigations, he finally meets the blue-clad and almost invulnerable superhero The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz), who appreciates Arthur's sense of justice and is eventually able to win him over as his sidekick. As it turns out after numerous battles fought together, Arthur's fears were justified - and The Terror was alive and kicking.
Anyone who hasn't seen the first six episodes of "The Tick" should stop reading here because of some spoilers. Actually, everything ended wonderfully for The Tick and Arthur. The latter, thanks to a special suit, had gained superhuman strength himself and, together with The Tick, saved the passengers of a bus that was about to fall into an abyss in front of numerous witnesses. But evil does not sleep either. The Terror and his female sidekick Miss Lint managed to kidnap Arthur at the end of episode six. The cliffhanger finally ended with a shocked Arthur facing off against his enemies. In the second half of the first season, The Tick will certainly do everything in his power to free his friend and sidekick from the clutches of villain The Terror. By the way, Amazon had good news for all fans of the unusual superhero series on January 2, 17, on this day a second season of “The Tick” was ordered, which should include ten more episodes…

Yup, the series is definitely brilliant - but what is currently going on with the film freaks in Hollywood, nobody can understand anyway… they probably prefer to do a remake or prequel of something…. What a shame for Jean-Claude van Johnson!
