The EU has a new Driving license directive for all EU citizens in preparation, which will probably be decided this year and will apply from 2025! In case you didn't know, the following changes are planned:
- Of course, this will only be digital from 2025 (data protection goodbye)
- Validity is no longer lifelong, but only 15 years
- Older people from the age of 70 have to go to the doctor every 5 years, to the public health officer and to driver safety training
You already know what they are forcing on all of us: everyone must have a smartphone, otherwise they can no longer take part in life. In addition, the digital driving license also has something to do with the CO2 points account. Think about it, you drive to Spain and the cash is still there. It will be entered at the next traffic check. You've been to Spain and your CO2 points are gone...
Of course, one hears very little about this in our "quality media", because the less dust is whirled up here, the easier it is to introduce this directive. Furthermore, it is already clear that Switzerland will go along with this and in fact we are making similar efforts...
