Now, Foria has decided to use the pain-relieving effects of marijuana to help women suffering from cramps. They have developed a product called "Foria Relief" which, strictly speaking, is not a classic tampon that soaks up blood during the period, but a marijuana suppository intended to relieve cramps. In Colorado and California, cannabis tax has long been legalized from a medical point of view. Here the new product Foria Relief is available with a doctor's prescription. According to the company, they can be used with tampons to maximize their pain relief.
The dope tampons contain THC, the intoxicating component of the hemp plant, but also CBD, which from a medical point of view can have anti-cramping, anti-inflammatory, anti-anxiety and anti-nausea effects. According to the manufacturer, users of the new cannabis suppositories have noticed significant improvements in their menstrual pain - just 15 to 30 minutes after insertion. The mucous membranes absorb the active ingredients and calm the muscle contractions in the abdomen. Many Foria Relief customers are convinced of the effectiveness: The product is said to have relieved cramps during their period in less than eight minutes. Others have said that it didn't help with back pain. According to the manufacturer, the majority of consumers do not experience intoxication. However, drug consumption can definitely be detected in the blood. There is 60 mg of THC per suppository. The marijuana suppository is not (yet) available in our part of the world. Although there is already a legislative initiative for the legal sale of weed in pharmacies, you still have to travel to the US&A for the supposed miracle drug.
