On April 14, the time has come – «Game of Thrones» will enter the final 8th season. The Season 8 trailer brings back many familiar faces, but also includes a mysterious character that we'll first meet in the TV series. We're talking about Harry Strickland, a character from the novels by George RR Martin, who will be appearing in the TV series for the first time. Strickland is the Captain General of the Golden Company, sent to the aid of Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey). In Season 7, she sends her new ally, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk), to get the Golden Company out of Essos and bring them to Westeros. The Mercenary Company is known for never having broken a contract, which means Cersei will have loyal minions at her side in the defense of King's Landing. Whether that will really help her when the Night King moves south with his army is rather questionable.
In the trailer we not only see part of the Golden Company on the high seas, with the banners of Euron in the background, but also Harry Strickland, their leader, who is apparently speaking to his men. Unfortunately, we only see Strickland in the short scene for a few seconds and only from behind. His face remains hidden for the time being. It was already confirmed in 2017 that German actor Marc Rissmann (The Last Kingdom) will take on the role of Captain General and be one of the newcomers for the 8th season of «Game of Thrones». By the way, if you take a closer look at the eyes of the Night King, you will see that his pupils are star-shaped and have seven points. It's not the only deviation that distinguishes the Night King from a normal person, blue skin color, horns & Co, but this small detail worries the fans. And as is so often the case, it doesn't take long for these minor inconsistencies to become the core of fan theories being circulated on social media. It is rumored on Reddit that the Night King may be related to Symeon Star-Eyes. He is considered one of the bravest knights in the history of Westeros. Symeon had lost both eyes and had two sapphires fitted instead, to which he owed his name "Star Eye". Bran speaks about the famous knight in George RR Martin's novels, he has never been mentioned in the series. Whether "Game of Thrones" will clarify the details behind the appearance of the Night King in the final season, we have to be surprised. In less than five weeks we will know how the story of "Game of Thrones", which will then be told over 8 seasons, will end. By the way, all 6 episodes of the finale are feature-length...
