In the new story, the members of the cryptozoological agency Monarch heroically prove themselves in the fight against a whole phalanx of oversized monsters, whereby the mighty Godzilla takes on Mothra, Rodan and his archenemy, the three-headed King Ghidorah. These primal monsters were previously thought to be myths, but when they suddenly reappear, they all compete for supremacy and thus threaten the habitat of all of humanity.
The following two trailers show many explosive scenes from the monster sequel. "Godzilla 2: King of Monsters" takes place several years after the events of Gareth Edwards' (Rogue One) original film and brings Godzilla together with well-known monsters. Our only hope: paleobiologist Dr. Emma Russell, played by 'The Conjuring' star Vera Farmiga, who, after being kidnapped by a mysterious organization, sets out to make the earth a livable place.
