For some time now, Hollywood's reboot machine has had its sights set on a child-friendly fantasy horror "Gremlins - Little Monsters". Now we have to painfully realize that the plans around the Gremlins are moving forward. Seth Grahame-Smith was announced as a producer for Warner Bros., which can be interpreted as a sign that the material will soon be implemented. Unfamiliar with the name Seth Grahame-Smith? Grahame-Smith is known for his novels and screenplays for 'Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter' and the upcoming 'Pride and Prejudice and Zombies'. It is not yet clear whether he will also write or revise the screenplay for Gremlins.
Rumor has it that Joe Dante, director of the first two Gremlins parts, will reappear in this capacity. If a reboot is already being initiated, Dante's participation would be more than desirable. In a nutshell, Gremlins revolves around three rules: keep them out of water, keep them out of light, and keep them out of a midnight snack! Actually, the rules are simple, but the main character Billy doesn't believe in the warnings and so he is soon facing a whole army of small, horrible monsters. Further information is not yet known. So we're excited to see what that will be!
