Comic artist Mike Mignola, director Neil Marshall and leading actor David Harbor have rarely missed an opportunity to draw attention to the bloody qualities of their version of "Hellboy". This was also confirmed by the American age assessment agency MPAA when they released the reboot a few weeks ago with an R rating for "massive violence and bloodthirsty scenes".
