When "The Walking Dead" returned with the second half of Season 6, it was immediately clear that this isn't going to be messy, it's going to be big. After the annihilation of the biker gang, the death of an entire family, and the announcement of Negan, the rest of Season 6 is sure to see some major characters die. We have picked out five protagonists from the series for you, who will probably not survive this season. Five death predictions most fans of the series won't like.
The following list is of course without guarantee and contains spoilers, both from the TV series and from the comics. So if you want to watch the 6th season completely impartially, you shouldn't do the following lines.
Tara Chamberler
Tara has been around for two seasons now and in the last season she became an important main character who did a lot for Rick & Co.'s group. However, things seem to be going too well for Tara at the moment, and as we all know, in The Walking Dead, that's exactly the indication that the character is dying. After all, actress Alanna Masterson is said not to have been seen on set since the 14th episode was filmed. In fact, she was pregnant while filming Season 6 and recently gave birth to her first child.
Judith Grimes
Nobody really wants to see little Judith die, but after we saw Sam Anderson being torn apart by the zombies in the midseason premiere, anything is possible. Judith is still a baby and needs to be protected by others as she cannot defend herself. This makes them vulnerable and an easy target. Another reason I think Judith is dying is because of Interview with Andrew Lincoln (Rick) and Lauren Cohan (Maggie), in which both emphasized how intense the finale of this season will be and that Rick's squad will be severely depleted. Lincoln said the script for the finale made him "so angry and frustrated" that he had stomach ache and sickness, while Cohan said filming the finale was "the hardest day on set we've ever had I've ever had in my life" and that "it took a really, really long time for everyone to feel comfortable again."
Spencer Monroe
Let's face it, Spencer has been more of a liability to the squad than of much use. After the deaths of his father and brother, he didn't back his mother, Deanna, but instead took the bottle and blamed his mother for the death of his family. After the stupid action in episode 7, «Heads Up» he had to be rescued by Rick, Tara, Tobin and Morgan and I can't shake the feeling that Spencer's time is very limited. The fact that Spencer is the last surviving family member leaves the boy with one foot in the grave.
Sergeant Abraham Ford
Abraham is without a doubt one of the strongest members of the group, always ready to help and always ready to take on the most difficult tasks. At the beginning of season 6, we saw him learn to live with the ghosts of his past. After I was almost certain that we would see Abraham's death in the middle of the season, the rocket launcher saved him and he escaped alive again. But will he always be so lucky? Fans of the comic series will watch the upcoming episodes with bated breath to see if Abraham's TV story will take the same turn as it did in the comics. Sergeant, as much as I like them, I don't think they'll survive season 6.
Daryl Dixon
Season 6 could mean the death of a character we are all afraid of - the death of Daryl Dixon! Daryl has been there since season 1 and during this time he has avoided some incredible attacks and bites. But I can't help it, somehow I have the feeling that his luck could soon be over. Fans of the show know that the season finale will mean the death of a main character at the hands of villain Negan. In the comic series this is Glenn, but in the TV series a lot is done differently and so it could very well be Daryl too. Since Daryl doesn't exist in the comics, the series' writers are very free as to how they use him in the storylines - such as the massacre of Negan's biker troupe, which was carried out in the comics by Rick, Michonne, Glenn and Andrea (who were in the Comics still alive) is perpetrated. Given that Glenn has already dodged death this season, it would be a little disappointing to lose him to Negan a few episodes later. But Daryl? What a devastating finale ...
