There are currently three narratives surrounding the war in Ukraine:
Narrative #1: NATO and Western governments claim that Russia's President Putin has deceived them for years, gone berserk and must now be fought with all military means.
But why, one then asks, have the North Atlantic allies been relentlessly and systematically heating up this conflict since it broke out, instead of making every effort to settle it as quickly as possible?
Narrative No. 2: The Kremlin speaks of a military operation that was taking place because of the increasing threat from the other side's rearmament, and thus practically in self-defense.
Why, one wonders, did President Putin not use the forums of the United Nations or the World Economic Forum to denounce the perpetrators of this threatening development in a flaming speech before the whole world, and how can these arguments be reconciled with the fact that Russia itself long before the Ukraine conflict, namely from 2007, began to massively rearm?
Narrative #3: Finally, Russia's President Putin is declared a conscience-driven man who has turned his back on the Deep State and has now begun dismantling it.
This assumption obviously implicates Putin's lack of intelligence or suicidal intentions. Declaring military war on the Deep State, which has been created over many decades and is armed to the teeth, is probably one of the surest paths to ruin.
But how should one then explain the actual background of the war?
The best way is to detach yourself from the three narratives and instead ask the question of who profited from the bloodshed.
