Some doors are better left closed - like those that await curious Netflix subscribers in the magical Locke family home starting February 7, 2020. For readers of Joe Hill's "Locke & Key" comics, the horrors lurking behind them are of course old hat.
In the featurette “From paper to screens”, Netflix now lets the makers behind the series and comics have their say, for example to clarify what was made of the idea with the head key. Because what works wonderfully in the comic does not necessarily have to be possible (if only for financial reasons) in Netflix's "Locke & Key". The series for Joe Hills and Gabriel Rodriguez' Comics has been planned for a long time, but it was Netflix who believed so firmly in the idea that their dream of a complete first season came true.

However, the featurette and trailer give hope that "Locke & Key" could be a worthy alternative to "Haunted Hill House" and Co. "Locke & Key" invites you to the so-called Keyhouse, a mysterious property in which the three Locke siblings, namely Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones) and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott), find numerous magical keys that are connected to connected to their father's death, giving them the craziest powers and abilities. However, a demonic presence has also gotten wind of this and is now doing everything it can to get hold of the keys. The main roles are cast with Jackson Robert Scott (ES) as Bode Locke, Connor Jessup (American Crime) as Tyler Locke, Emilia Jones (Horrible Histories) as Kinsey Locke, Bill Heck (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs) as Rendell Locke, Laysla De Oliveira as Dodge, Thomas Mitchell Barnet as Sam Lesser and Griffin Gluck (American Vandal) as Gabe.
