For nature lovers, New Zealand is the land of dreams. Dense forests alternate with deserts and hilly landscapes and everything looks so unreal, at least from a European point of view. The New Zealand photographer Stephen Patience has published the following video, in which he does not only focus on the nature of his homeland. It was just as important to him to show the alternation between light and shadow.
Dazu stellte er seine Kamera stets kurz vor der Goldenen Stunde auf und fing im Zeitraffer ein, wie die Sonne am Horizont verschwand. Und während sich die Farben des Himmels binnen kürzester Zeit veränderten, machte auch die Landschaft eine Veränderung durch, als sie nicht mehr von den warmen Sonnenstrahlen getroffen wurde. Patience reiste für seine Aufnahmen regelmässig durch Neuseeland und fing seine Bilder in allen Ecken des Landes ein. Als Belohnung gehörte sein Video zu den Finalisten des Wettbewerbs «Photographer of the Year» vom «New Zealand Geographic«.
