Percy Jackson is actually getting a sequel. The first film, an adaptation of the first part of a five-part book series about the young Percy Jackson, who learns that he is the son of the Greek god Poseidon and then gets into various adventures, was made a few years ago and was not a huge commercial success. The film also didn't gain a particularly large new fan base. That's why it's surprising that we still get to see "Percy Jackson - The Spell of the Cyclops". The main actors from part 1 are back. 20th Century Fox has now released the first trailer (in which the Harry Potter parallels are obvious)…
Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman) is more than just an ordinary boy. Some time ago he found out that he is the son of the sea god Poseidon. When one of his friends, the satyr Grover Underwood (Brandon T. Jackson), is captured by a cyclops, the young demigod sets out on a journey of liberation into the sea of monsters with his half-brother Tyson and girlfriend Annabeth (Alexandra Daddario). On their way they meet the sirens, the cunning god Hermes (Dylan Neal), the god of war Ares (Ray Winstone) and many other creatures from Greek mythology.
