From March 23rd we can look forward to new episodes starring Drew Barrymore and her hunger for human flesh. Timothy Olyphant and Liv Hewson cannot miss their very special raw food diet, the Santa Clarita Diet, and are also returning for the second round of the weird comedy series. This time, guest appearances from Joel McHale and Maggie Lawson as Chris and Christa await us, who as a married real estate agent couple are even more successful and aggressive than Sheila and Joel. Trouble is approaching in the form of Zachary Knighton, who, as a descendant of Serbian ancestors, gives a sort of Van Helsing tasked with finding the truth about the undead, no matter who or what stands in his way.
The Hammonds try to adapt to Sheila's undead existence - although she desperately clings to her suburban life and does not want to be seen as a monster. Unfortunately - because the family is getting better and better at killing - the number of missing people in Santa Clarita is increasing enormously and no longer goes unnoticed. At the same time, the Hammonds are hunting the source of the virus to stop its spread and save humanity - it's important. But the unconditional love between Sheila and Joel brings both of them back down to earth again and again. Of course, being undead - or loving someone who is - isn't easy, but doesn't every relationship have its challenges?
