When I'm old and rickety later in the future, I will definitely not go to a retirement home, but to a cruise ship.
You gave me the reasons for this:
The average cost for a retirement home is CHF 400 per day!
I have checked a reservation for the cruise ship "Aida" and have to pay CHF 270 per day for a long-term trip as a pensioner.
After Adam Riese, I have 130 francs left per day. I can use it for:
- Tips: 20 francs / day
- I have at least 10 free meals if I wobble into one of the on-board restaurants or even have room service bring the food to my room, i.e. into the cabin. In other words, I can have breakfast in bed every day of the week.
- The «Aida» has three swimming pools, a fitness room, free use of washing machines and dryers and even shows every evening.
- There is free toothpaste, razor, soap and shampoo on the ship.
- The staff treat me like a customer, not a patient. And for an extra 10 francs tip a day, the stewards read every wish from my eyes.
- I get to know new people every 8 to 14 days.
- TV broken? Broken lightbulb? The bed mattress is too hard or too soft? No problem, the staff will change it for free and thank you for my understanding.
- Fresh bed linen and towels every day are a matter of course and I don't even have to ask for them.
- If I fall in the retirement home and break a rib, I'll end up in the hospital and, according to the new health insurance reform, have to pay extra every day. On the "Aida" I get a suite for the rest of the trip and the on-board doctor treats me free of charge.
- I have never heard of a case in which paying passengers on a cruise ship were harassed or even mistreated by the staff. This does not apply to the same extent to nursing homes.
Now the best:
With the "Aida" I can go to South America, Afnka, Australia, Japan, Asia... wherever I want. That's why you won't look for me in a retirement home in the future, but "just call shore to ship". On the "Aida" I save 100 francs every day and don't even have to save for my funeral anymore. My last wish is just: just throw me over the railing. That's also free.
very nice .. that's how it works (I also take the box seat hehe ..)
hmmm... the best part really is that it's all true! When I was on the “Dream Ship”, I experienced almost everything that is written here. Even that a "grandfather" died in the middle of the Atlantic (heart attack from all the excitement about the beautiful young women) and was thrown over the board! The only difference was that I didn't spend a cent, but worked on the ship and of course earned money! And since then it has also been my «dream retirement home»!!!
I would also like to work on such a ship for a certain amount of time, or later just squander my pension there
well... that's funny on such a cruise ship! Only then you have to be very careful... 60% staff are gays and lesbians... … unless…
Such a sea voyage is funny, such a sea voyage is beautiful
And nothing against gays and lesbians, with the latter a box seat is welcome and otherwise you just follow the walls
