The star gate to distant worlds opens again and in the following trailer we can see actual scenes from «Stargate Origins». After "Stargate - Commando SG-1", "Stargate: Atlantis" and "Stargate: Universe", "Stargate Origins" is now the fourth offshoot of Roland Emmerich's sci-fi adventure from 1994. In "Origins" we now go back to the past. At the center of the story is the young Catherine Langford, daughter of Professor Paul Langford, who first discovered a Stargate on Earth in Egypt in 1928. A few years later, Catherine is trying to unlock the secrets of the ancient technology that could change the destiny of all mankind. Fans already know Catherine from Emmerich's "Stargate" film and some "SG-1" episodes, where she was played by Viveca Lindfors and Elizabeth Hoffman respectively. In "Stargate Origins" the Australian Ellie Gall (Puberty Blues) slips into the role. Her father is Connor Trinneer (Star Trek: Enterprise), who appeared a few years earlier as Wraith Michael Kenmore in several episodes of "Stargate: Atlantis". "Stargate Origins" will consist of ten episodes and will premiere on February 15, 2018 on the fledgling streaming platform Stargate Command, where the previous series in the franchise are already available.
