Suicidal Tendencies was founded in 1982 in Venice Beach, California, around singer Mike Muir, who was still studying at the time. The band quickly made a name for themselves, but unfortunately not always in a musical sense. However, rumors about gang machinations and controversies about the band name were more to the musicians' advantage and also made their music better known.
In 1983, the guys from Suicidal Tendencies released their eponymous debut album, which hit like a bomb: the audience loved it and «Institutionalized» even ran on MTV. This makes Suicidal Tendencies one of the first hardcore bands to be included in the program of the US broadcaster. This will go down in history! Over time, Suicidal Tendencies developed from punk/hardcore to metal and thrash, and on their album «The Art of Rebellion» they even made a few excursions towards progressive metal and funk. Since their appearance at Hellfest 2017, Suicidal Tendencies have released another album, «Still Cyco Punk After All These Years», which they will present live in Clisson.
