Soft versions of well-known cinema films do not enjoy the best reputation among gamers, because far too often in the past one was frightened by carelessly cobbled together licensed titles. As a player, we slip into the role of soldier Jacob Rivers, who belongs to the Resistance Pacific Division. And so, players engage in the all-important final battle to breach SKYNET's defenses and help decide the fate of humanity in the war against the machines.
