This Saturday, ARTE will be broadcasting an Apocalyptica concert with singer Franky Perez for the first time at 23:25 p.m. as part of the “Berlin-Live” series and will be showing several world premieres: They will be playing some songs from their new album live for the first time at this concert .
Since the mid-nineties, graduates of the Sibelius Academy have shown that playing the cello and headbanging are not contradictory. With three cellos and a drum set, Apocalyptica became an absolute export hit with their Metallica covers. In a new episode of “Berlin Live” we see the Finns with an unusual addition, namely the singer Franky Perez, who also appeared on the brand new album “Shadowmaker”. The announcement promises “killer choruses, deliciously dark undertones and good old speed metal” and the intimate Berlin Live atmosphere is perfect for transforming the hall into a cauldron. At the same time, Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen and Perttu Kivilaakso as well as drummer Mikko Sirén can show off their full virtuosity and prove once again why, even after 22 years of band history, they are neither average nor boring and are rightly the epitome of “cello metal” and crossover of the whole special kind.
Early risers can repeat the broadcast both on 4.5. as well as on May 14.5th experience at 5 a.m.
