The vote of November 28, 2021 on the Covid Act represents a turning point in the current development for Switzerland and cannot only be viewed in Switzerland alone, as comparable developments are taking place all over the world. However, Switzerland is the only country in the world that has the opportunity to vote on it, so the pressure that is exerted is very high. This can be seen from the fact that all means of misleading and manipulation are used in advance to prevent a NO.
People see and notice this, however, and should the law be adopted, developments similar to those seen in the US presidential election are conceivable. Quite a few people in society even expect electoral manipulation in Switzerland and if one actually does such manipulations in advance, then that is a very bad signal to the population and should divide society even more and ensure that that one will not accept the result. The mood in society is already at its lowest point and an event like this could tip them over. These health passes are causing social unrest all over the world, which is hardly surprising. In general, the extended obligation to obtain a certificate (health passport), which is actually the subject of the vote, has no legal basis and contradicts the Swiss constitution in many points. Whether such a regulation is even legal is currently being tested in society and the first complaints have been received.
Opinions may be divided about this ominous disease and the strategy against it, but whoever puts a YES to this law in the ballot box is laying the foundation for a division and destabilization of Switzerland and supporting the abolition of Switzerland's constitutional, democratic rights. The certificate is legally, medically and morally highly questionable and should the day come when you yourself get into a situation where you think you are protected by the constitution, you will regret this YES. The vote from 28.11. is something of a turning point in Switzerland, how we as a society want to deal with each other in the future. Those who advocate the law are actually abolishing equality of rights and the rule of law as we have known it. With a clear NO at the ballot box, we still have the chance as a Swiss society to get out of this situation with two blue eyes and get the matter under control in an orderly manner.
