Recently, an acquaintance told me that he had never understood why people were involved in Facebook at all. Those who support censorship are complicit. Well, I have a lot of people reading my posts, a lot of them on Facebook too. Not only because for many of them, switching to another platform is not realistic, no, I will not do the same as the people's educators from politics and the press and tell my readers where to read me. That forbids me out of respect for my readers. I don't dictate to them what they have to eat, what they have to think and whether they can fire or not. It never ceases to amaze me that some people can't understand this.
I'm also astonished by the accusation that anyone who takes part in censorship is making themselves complicit. I keep pointing out the censorship, criticizing it, demonstrating it. If I stopped there, the censors at Bertelsmann & Co. would be relieved of a great deal. After all, they want to censor quietly and don't like it at all when their dark doings are constantly illuminated with the spotlight. I definitely don't want to do them the favor of keeping silent! Because who participates in censorship? The one who still writes or says what he thinks or the one who follows the crowd? In the case of the mentioned acquaintance, I think that he did not understand the meaning and nature of censorship...
