Director Edgar Wright (Ant-Man) previously described «Baby Driver» as a «collision of crime, action, music and sound». This has led to speculation that the film was inspired by a music video the filmmaker shot for the 2003 song "Blue Song" by the band Mint Royale. In it, Noel Fielding played the music-loving getaway driver of a group of bank robbers. In the action thriller «Baby Driver», the still young Baby (Ansel Elgort) has a very special talent: he is a getaway driver. While others are robbing banks, he has perfected the art of steering the car the criminals want to use to escape to a safe place every time, without the police being able to get on his heels. In a rotation he works in his special job alternately for different bank robbers. When he meets the waitress Deborah (Lily James), she knows nothing about it.
