In 2011, Rupert Wyatt delivered a surprisingly complex prequel to the classic “Planet of the Apes” with “Planet of the Apes: Prevolution” (Rise of the Planet of the Apes). The fact that he was then supposed to implement sequels to this every year went too far for the filmmaker, whereupon Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) took over the helm. However, Wyatt has not renounced the futuristic and socially critical sci/fi cinema. With "Captive State" he is now adding a project that seems remotely like a mixture of "The Purge", "District 9" and "Arrival". Ten years after the earth was overrun by an extraterrestrial force, people live under constant control and surveillance by the occupiers. Now it's time for a change. "Captive State" aims to shed light on both sides of the conflict - both those of the collaborators and those of the dissidents. Wyatt was able to use prominent names such as John Goodman or Vera Farmiga (The Conjuring) for this. Other roles went to Ashton Sanders (Moonlight, Straight Outta Compton), Jonathan Majors (Hostiles, White Boy Rick) and Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly in his big screen debut. The sinister thriller then celebrates its cinema premiere on March 29, 2019, albeit only in the US&A for the time being…
Jealousy: needless concern about something that can only be lost if it's not worth keeping anyway.

It should be clear that running dravenstales.ch takes a lot of time and costs. To cover costs and maybe a free drink or two, I could plaster the whole place with advertising. But I like my readers, which is why I want to offer them a (largely) ad-free reading experience. If you like what's going on and/or what's going on on this website, then it would be nice if you somehow shared the fun here would support, Thank you!
