For many, horror films are the icing on the cake when it comes to what is being watched on Netflix and Co. in the evening. The gruesome works have their own charm that has been luring people into the cinemas for many decades. There all viewers dive into the world of surprising moments of shock and find themselves in a gruesome parallel world for at least an hour and a half. This is supposed to be about the most shocking horror films to appear over the years.
The Exorcist (1973)
William Friedkin's masterpiece is rightly a member of this list. Regan, the daughter of a successful actress, stars in The Exorcist. One day she is busy with an ouija board in the basement, which she later realizes that she shouldn't have done better. An unwelcome guest takes the girl and makes for a particularly large number of scary moments. At the time of publication, these even led to the Visitors in tears left the cinema. Even if most of the horror classics come from the 1970s and 80s, there have also been some exciting films in the recent past. One of them is Paranormal Activity, which attracted viewers in 2007.
