Director Vincenzo Natali became known for his low-budget science fiction/horror film «Cube». With the horror thriller "Splice - The Gene Experiment" with Adrien Brody and Sarah Polley, he was able to continue to inspire genre fans. His new film "Haunter" now sends Abigail Breslin into a spooky horror time warp. Breslin plays Lisa, a teenage girl who is mysteriously murdered in 1985. Unfortunately, she still has to wait with the ascension. Her ghost continues to haunt the family home, reliving the same day over and over again. This is her last day alive. Only after endlessly relived days does the ghost girl manage to make contact with the living. Apparently she wasn't the only victim of a supernatural killer and Lisa tries to save the girl (Eleanor Zichy) who now lives in the house. The exact plot of the film is not known and the trailer only gives a few details. But Vincenzo Natali seems to bring a new approach to the classic haunted house scenario. The horror film gets an additional twist through the time loop and the mixing of different time levels.
Having to be alone is the hardest part, being alone is the best thing.
