unleashes chaos
More horror film than family-friendly action adventure - this is the resolution that JA Bayona (The Orphanage) is said to have made when he began work on Jurassic World: The Fallen Kingdom. In fact, as the first trailers promise, his film is much darker and more dangerous than Colin Trevorrow's predecessor. We can convince ourselves of this today in two new trailers, with which Universal Pictures is doing the last work of convincing before the second chapter of the Jurassic World saga officially opens in cinemas on June 06th.
The title of the film says it all. The island paradise on which Jurassic World was built is on the brink of collapse, making Fallen Kingdom both a survival thriller and a disaster thriller. Four years have passed since the Jurassic World theme park and luxury resort was destroyed by dangerous dinosaurs. Since humans had to flee Isla Nublar, the remaining dinosaurs have asserted themselves as the undisputed rulers of the jungle.
But when the island's volcano, believed to be inactive, begins to boil, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire have to return to save the last dinosaurs from extinction. The rescue operation turns out to be more dangerous than expected, as it rains lava on the earthquake-shaken terrain of the island as soon as they arrive. While Owen tries desperately to save his Raptor Blue, the other members of the expedition uncover a conspiracy that could catapult the earth back into the hostile state of prehistoric times.
