Friends, have you always wanted to visit the original locations from famous horror films? This is now also possible online. With us you will find the most notorious horror filming locations on Street-View.

Many houses from horror films really exist. Sure, the stuff had to be shot somewhere. Below is a small list of locations that you can visit in real life or on Google Street View. You can also find some places that inspired famous horror films.

The house from «Halloween»

“Halloween” is one of the greatest horror films of all time. Carpenter was looking for a rundown house for the film. For the opening sequence, which takes place a few years before the rest of the action in the film, he had to have the house renovated. Oddly enough, the house is no longer where it was when the film was shot. It was completely moved to another location. At the address of the location (707 Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena), there is a completely different building.

The shopping center from "Dawn Of The Dead"

The Monroeville Mall was the filming location for George A. Romero's classic film "Dawn Of The Dead" (aka "Zombie"). The film was shot here in the winter of 1977/1978 while the shopping center was closed. Since many fans make a pilgrimage there, it is actually worth a visit, because according to Wikipedia there is a small zombie museum there. Incidentally, some scenes from «Flashdance» were also filmed here.

The Dakota Building from «Rosemary's Baby»

The Dakotoa Building is located directly on Central Park in New York and was not only the location for Polanski's "Rosemaries Baby", but also the place where John Lennon was shot. In his memory are the "Strawberry Fields" in Central Park nearby.

The "Amityville Horror" house

In this case it is the "real" haunted house, which has been for sale several times recently. None of the former residents after the alleged haunting in the 70s knew of any incidents to report. As you can see, the distinctive round windows are now missing, deliberately removed to change the look so that it's not easily recognizable. Because pushy fans are probably the real reason why nobody can stand it there for so long.

The house from "Poltergeist"

In reality, the house is not in a cemetery at all, but in the Simi Valley in California. Actually, this is a haunted ghost because a poltergeist would actually be connected to the building and not to the property.

"The Avoided House" by HP Lovecraft

In October 1924, Lovecraft wrote the short story The Shunned House. The story was based in part on a 1763 building at 135 Benefit Street in Providence. Lovecraft was familiar with the house as his aunt lived there in 1919 and 1920.

The house from «A Nightmare On Elm Street»

The house whose facade was used for the film is not on Elm Street in Springwood, but on North Genesee Avenue in Los Angeles and looks almost exactly like it did in the film.

"Dravens Tales from the Crypt" has been enchanting for over 15 years with a tasteless mixture of humor, serious journalism - for current events and unbalanced reporting in the press politics - and zombies, garnished with lots of art, entertainment and punk rock. Draven has turned his hobby into a popular brand that cannot be classified.

My blog was never designed to spread news, let alone get political, but with current affairs I just can't help but capture information here that is otherwise censored on all other channels. I am aware that the design page may not seem "serious" to many in this regard, but I will not change this to please the "mainstream". Anyone who is open to non-state-compliant information sees the content and not the packaging. I've tried enough to provide people with information over the last 2 years, but quickly noticed that it never matters how it's "packaged", but what the other person's attitude towards it is. I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever ;) I leave it up to everyone how they deal with it. However, you are welcome to simply copy and distribute the content, my blog has always been under the WTFPL license.

It's hard for me to describe what I'm actually doing here, DravensTales has become a culture blog, music blog, shock blog, tech blog, horror blog, fun blog, a blog about found items on the internet, internet bizarre, trash blog, art blog, water heater, zeitgeist blog over the years , Scrap blog and grab bag blog called. Everything that is right ... - and yet not. The main focus of the blog is contemporary art, in the broadest sense of the word.
