A visit to a cave, from which he hopes to get some answers and an improvement in his critical situation, ends with a flock of bats that attack the man - after which he is not seen for two months.
When he finally reappears, everyone around him realizes that he has changed a lot physically. Suddenly he feels as if he can literally uproot trees. But what exactly caused this effect in the cave? A mystery that even Morbius cannot solve himself. He just knows how much he likes it that since then he feels more alive than ever before. Too bad that since his unexpected and sudden transformation he has had to feed on blood to ensure that his now stable condition does not worsen again. So while he gets to know some of his newfound abilities and researches them extensively, the now supernatural being loses control again and again whenever his stomach growls. Will Morbius get a grip on himself in time before the blood of innocent people flows?
