«Once Upon a Time in Venice» erinnert irgendwie an «John Wick». Da sucht ein Typ seinen Hund und räumt dabei die Unterwelt auf. Statt aber düster und bedrückend wie «John Wick» (nebst der coolen Action natürlich) zu sein, ist das hier eher lustig und ein bisschen absurd, die Ähnlichkeiten sind aber nicht von der Hand zu weisen. Neben Bruce Willis sehen wir Jason Momoa mit tollem Bart, John Goodman, Thomas Middleditch und Famke Janssen. Für unsere Breiten ist noch kein Starttermin bekannt, in den US&A läuft der Film ab 16. Steve Ford (Bruce Willis) is a down but not out LA based Private Investigator whose professional and personal worlds collide after his loving pet Buddy is stolen by a notorious gang. A series of crazy circumstances find him doing the gang's bidding, while being chased by two vengeful Samoan brothers, a loan shark's goons, and a few other shady characters. They say a dog is a man's best friend, and Steve shows how far a man will go to be reunited with him.

I don't want to put honey on anyone's mouth to meet expectations in any way, so I'll keep this design because hopefully at some point I'll be able to stop making these political statements, because it's not my goal to go on like this forever
