Dick Maas (Damn Amsterdam, Sint) is after our very own fears and unleashes a full-grown lion on the audience and the residents of Amsterdam in his new film «Prey - Prey Hunt» (Original: Prooi)! The horror thriller has been touring the world of film festivals since 2016, but is only now making the leap to our latitudes, where it will have a home cinema premiere on DVD and Blu-ray from April 9, 2020. And it could, as the German trailer proves, have it all!
It is not without reason that the German distributor Indeed Film speaks of a "bloody, hand-made and accurate" spectacle with the internationally known Julian Looman (Sky's Der Pass, Nightlife), Britte Lagcher (Path of the Warrior), Mark Frost (Mayhem, Poldark) and Sophie van Winden (Code Blue) in the leading roles. In "Prey - Prey Hunt" a 300 kg heavy killing machine is up to mischief in the Dutch metropolis. The beast leaves a trail of destruction in its wake. Tattered human parts are found and initially pose a mystery to the police. But it soon becomes clear that it is a huge lion that has apparently lost all fear of humanity. The king of the jungle becomes a bloodthirsty predator in the urban environment. The public is in an uproar. Now only so-called experts who are supposed to kill the beast once and for all can help...
