«It is told. When they asked me to do another Rambo, my response was, 'If I can't surpass my performance in the previous one - and I can't - then what's the point?' So the 69-year-old thinks that John Rambo's last assignment in Burma tells everything that the character gave. However, Sly likes that she was able to prove herself one last time in a volatile political environment:
You just know when there is nothing left to tell. I was very happy to be able to show the situation in Burma with my action film in this way. The film was always trapped in this event, the longest civil war in history. 65 years of war. The film was so brutal because the civil war is so brutal - I was shocked that it was approved and shown at all. I didn't want to compromise on that. After the film was finished, probably my last major, leading role, I no longer felt the need to do something like that again.
Stallone also finds clear words about the planned series, which is said to focus on Rambo's son, JR, in which he is not involved: "I don't want to be a doomsayer, but it's a tricky thing, a character through his son to want to replace." At 69, Stallone seems to have reached an age where he can look at the ravages of time and the demands placed on the body with a realistic perspective: "The mind is willing, but the body says: stay at home!", says Sly.
