Here is a featurette and the third trailer with lots of new pictures. Friends, imagine a future in which the nostalgia wave of the 80s is at its zenith, virtual glasses have long been around and everyone is just hanging out in a pop culture scenario. It seems to me that Spielberg places the tragedy of the 80s nostalgia loop with James Donovan Halliday, the developer of the Oasis, who is still adored in the book, and makes it the Heroes Journey of the kids to break out of his prison aka Oasis.
The film is set in 2045, with the world on the brink of chaos and collapse. But the people have found salvation in the OASIS, an expansive virtual reality universe created by the brilliant and eccentric James Halliday (Mark Rylance). When Halliday dies, he leaves his immense fortune to the first person to find a digital Easter egg he has hidden somewhere in the OASIS, sparking a contest that grips the entire world. When an unlikely young hero named Wade Watts (Tye Sheridan) decides to join the contest, he is hurled into a breakneck, reality-bending treasure hunt through a fantastical universe of mystery, discovery and danger.
This is one of the films where I refuse to watch trailers ... well, actually I haven't watched any trailers for films that really interest me for a long time ... too often important sequences are shown that spoil the surprise ... I just say Terminator Genesys ... that was the horror and totally incomprehensible to me ...
Yeah, Terminator Genesys was definitely the horror, but not because of the trailers But you're right, today the whole film is already being revealed in the trailers…. : /
Have you seen the trailer? THE plot twist is shown there ... THE twist ... so the marketing guy who broke that left the air out of the film ... so even more ...
You're right, but that's what they do from Hollywood today with many so-called blockbusters…. you can save yourself the cinema….
That's unfortunately true ... there are films that you don't have to watch anymore after you've seen the trailer ...
