With «Saint Maud», the film studio A24 announces another horror thriller in the tradition of «The Witch», «Hereditary» and «Midsommar», in which religious symbols, faith and madness provide the breeding ground for»a disturbing and courageous vision in a fallen world". It centers on Maud, a young hospice nurse obsessed with saving the soul of her dying patient Amanda (Jennifer Ehle from Fifty Shades of Gray or I Kill Giants). But she doesn't even think about taking part in the religious rituals of her "Saint Maid" and prefers to make the most of the time she has left - much to the displeasure of Maud (Morfydd Clark from Pride and Prejudice and Zombies). In the trailer, our first preparation for the US theatrical release on March 27, 2020, she starts a steadily rotating downward spiral into madness. «Saint Maud» is the first feature film by newcomer Rose Glass and has already been shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, Fantastic Fest and London Film Festival, where it received unanimously positive reviews. However, there is no start date for our latitudes yet...

It should be clear that running dravenstales.ch takes a lot of time and costs. To cover costs and maybe a free drink or two, I could plaster the whole place with advertising. But I like my readers, which is why I want to offer them a (largely) ad-free reading experience. If you like what's going on and/or what's going on on this website, then it would be nice if you somehow shared the fun here would support, Thank you!
