Whatever you think of the development of «The Walking Dead», there is no denying that we have been through a lot together, mastered incredible situations and experienced many a tricky moment of fate. That's why the message in the new trailer, with which AMC wants to sweeten our big return on August 22, 2021, is clear: together you can achieve anything! In the beginning it may only have been about the pure, very own survival instinct of each individual, but from the practical alliances companions, friends and sometimes even love affairs developed. So there could probably be no better introduction to the grand finale season than reviewing many of the most important moments of the past ten years and seasons. And it's always about the community, the big picture.

"Together" runs like a red thread through the trailer, like a battle cry with which the various apocalypse fighters (living and dead) seem to spur each other on to keep going and not give up just before the end. Because of course we will get through this chapter together again, even if it is the last one - that's for sure! But it's not just about the past, it's also about the future to some extent. At the very end, our survivors in search of food finally make their way to the Commonwealth, a legendary community that is home to more than 50 refugees, but is far from the safe haven hoped for by all. Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Gabriel (Seth Gilliam), Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and Princess (Paola Lázaro), who have been stewing in the cells of the Commonwealth military since the Season 000 recap, have long since arrived, here, among other things, from the later very much important newcomer Mercer (Michael James Shaw) are interrogated.

At one point, a desperate Eugene (Josh McDermitt) is even lying on the ground, being held there by the units in the Stormtrooper memory look. In another scene, our survivors are surprised by the walking dead in the underground, and the narrowness could be their undoing. So it remains exciting! But one thing first: Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Daryl (Norman Reedus), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) and Co. are not expected in the new community until the middle of the new season. The first episodes are all about the growing tension within Alexandria, which threatens to suffocate under the burden of the newcomers and the increasingly scarce food reserves. At this point in time, the constantly hungry Alexandria residents did not even know that Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess were in the hands of soldiers.

It is very likely that the first of a total of three Season 11 chapters, AMC speaks of a "trilogy", will continue to be located in the well-known locations before it finally goes into new and fateful realms in the middle of the eleventh season, which consists of 22 parts. The way we experience «The Walking Dead» will also change with Season 11. For the first time, the premiere will no longer take place on Pay TV on the FOX Channel (or the Sky Ticket App), which will be discontinued around September, but directly on Disney+. When and how this will take place has not yet been finally clarified and should become apparent in the next few weeks.
