On January 9, 2020, 20th Century Fox is launching a new film that could come very close to the sci/fi horror premier «Alien». Directed by William Eubank, as the name suggests, «Underwater» does not take us into space, but into the unexplored depths of the ocean, where stars such as Kristen Stewart (Twilight, Lizzie, Personal Shopper), TJ Miller (Cloverfield, Deadpool ), Vincent Cassel (Irreversible, Black Swan, Sheitan) and John Gallagher Jr. (The Belko Experiment, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Hush) inadvertently awaken a slumbering nightmare that seems like a cross between a Xenomorph and a Cloverfield monster, albeit in a more compact form Shape. In the deep-sea sequences, "Underwater - It is awakened" is more reminiscent of James Cameron's undersea epic "The Abyss".
The film was approved under the old Fox flag, but in contrast to the battered «New Mutants», it seems to make it onto the screens without any problems. "Underwater" is the follow-up to William Eubank's gripping thriller "The Signal", which made many wonder what project the talented newcomer would tackle next. on January 9, 2020 there will be the answer. The screenplay was penned by Brian Duffield and Adam Cozad. The latter is the author of "Legend of Tarzan" or "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit", while Duffield proved his skills on "The Babysitter" or "The Unyielding - Jane Got a Gun".
