Leigh Whannell is back and delivering his very own take on Death Wish with Upgrade this summer. Its grieving protagonist can be outfitted with a nanobot, becoming a deadly fighting machine and virtually invincible! Filming took place in Whannell's hometown of Melbourne last spring and produced by Goalpost Pictures Australia and of course Blumhouse Productions. It stars Logan Marshall-Green, Betty Gabriel (Get Out, Purge: Election Year), Harrison Gilbertson (Hounds of Love), Simon Maiden (Killer Elite) and Benedict Hardie (Hacksaw Ridge). The background is a near-future world in which technology determines almost every aspect of life. Only one technophobic man, Logan Marshall-Green from Prometheus and Invitation, doesn't quite get used to the brave new world. That changes abruptly when he uses a modern chip implant called Stem to track down his wife's killer and outwit his accidental paralysis. "Upgrade" celebrated its world premiere a few weeks ago at the popular SXSW festival and will also be available regularly on American screens on June 1st. There is currently no start date for our latitudes...

It should be clear that running dravenstales.ch takes a lot of time and costs. To cover costs and maybe a free drink or two, I could plaster the whole place with advertising. But I like my readers, which is why I want to offer them a (largely) ad-free reading experience. If you like what's going on and/or what's going on on this website, then it would be nice if you somehow shared the fun here would support, Thank you!
