"Nobody would expect what I think is a brilliant step," says Ludwig. He had wished that Björn would be killed by Ivar. "If it hadn't been Ivar it would have been by his own hand or by something so tragic that viewers would have been devastated." The 100-year-old doesn't want to reveal 27% whether Björn's last hour in episode 10 has beaten. But he promises, regardless of whether Björn is dead or survives in the end, that there will be a reunion with him, "in some way".

Staying true to schedule would mean that episode 11 of “Vikings” season 6 won't air until December 2020.
